Everyone at the club were saddened to hear the passing of Joan Elder who was a stalwart of the vikings from the early days , washing the strips and doing the raffle amongst other things. Mother of Iain Elder, former vikings forward and committee member. She will be sadly missed. Note – we plan to have a minutes applause at the next match we play at the Dammies as I’m sure she felt it was home. She was vikings through and through. RIP Joan ❤️❤️❤️
The photos were from The Jock Mackay Memorial cup final at Balintore in April 2011 where Vikings beat Muir of Ord. The photo of Iain and Joan is from the trip home where the bus frequently stopped at the Bannockburn bar in Helmsdale. ⚽🏆
